Because under the pics it says "don't forget you're here forever" and "him" doesn't fit into that sentence

nayrt, but the meaning behind that picture is the fact that Maggie gives him the motivation to continue working a horrible job. His baby daughter helps him get through his day.

The meme of replacing Maggie with a different character kind of misses the point of the origin picture, in particular if it's a male character (the sign would have previously read "don't forget you're him forever").

Exactlyy. The picture was about Homer getting through something shitty by thinking of Maggie. The "Don't forget you're here forever" in the back is basically what makes the whole thing.

so OP knows that the original form of the poster doesn't make a lick of sense with "him" shoved in there (Never forget you're HIME forever?) and it annoys them
