I finished the last day of the bar exam an hour early. So did a bunch of other people. That's unusual. For some reason, they put all the hard subjects in the morning essays and all the easier subjects in the afternoon. I actually looked back over them several times because I thought I must be missing something ending so early. But nope, I really did answer everything. They were just easier questions.

How do you think it went this time around? Do you feel better about it? I've been thinking about you this week.

I did feel a lot better about it. We'll see if that means anything, but for now I'm feeling positive.

I just discovered that the reason my pinky still hurts a month after banging it on a doorknob is because it's broken.
I don't know if this is very unusual, but it was a "huh" moment for me.

Dude. High five. I tripped on my front porch one year around Christmas, found out in March the reason my thumb still hurt was that I had fractured it and torn the ligament. It never really healed properly.

Heh.

I do hope I don't have any permanent damage - my doctor said that at this point there's no point in doing anything for it, since it's already healing on its own, and it's been so long...

Yeah they made me wear a brace thing for about a month to try and fix the damage to the ligament but it never really healed right, it's still super wobbly.

And I learned that doing up pants with one thumb immobilized is really hard!

I've had every type of injury on my fingers and never broken any other bones, I don't know what it is about my hands that are sensitive and also more prone to accident.

So basically I have broken multiple fingers, dislocated fingers, and chipped bone. Chipped bone hurts the WORST of all 3. Dislocation doesn't even feel like anything but when they relocated it, I started crying and didn't even know why.

I could see not being aware of breaking it, hopefully you'll heal up fine.

Yeah that's not unusual, it's more like never ending. It would be unusual if they STFU for a change.

I mean, it is a little unordinary to hold a press conference that you're willing to vote yes on a law, but only if you're sure it won't become law

or to tell a New Yorker writer that one of your fellow members of the Trump administration likes to suck his own cock and another is a psychopath

Does anyone else also find his blue mirror shades a really weird sartorial choice for an interview? Like am I looking at the front page of a respected publication or TMZ?

It would be weird in any other administration. but going hardcore TMZ fits much better with the Trump ethos than any respectable publication could. plus TMZ is a Trump ally to start with, so.

Was at the drugstore this afternoon, looking at nail polish, and looked up in time to see a bunch of cops kinda stealth-hurrying in. Turns out a couple guy and girl) was trying to pass off forged prescriptions at the pharmacy. Apparently the girl got suspicious that it was taking awhile and left the store, but because the suburb is pretty quiet/crime-free, the cops got there PDQ and arrested her in the parking lot. Then they came in and arrested the guy after a brief struggle. I felt kinda sorry for them, because if you're doing that you're obviously desperate, but their choice of drugstore in which to pull something like that was just stupid imo: quiet suburb with little crime and a police department that's literally right there. Oh well. I hope they get help.

My mom and I went to the beach after my doctor's appointment today (we haven't been all summer due to a combination of constant rain, illness and other obligations), and even though it had started out sunny today, of course it started raining as soon as we got there. That's not the unusual part, though. No, what was unusual was that in the parking lot, about 10 yards from the public restrooms, there was a naked toddler pissing on the pavement while her mom watched and smiled indulgently.
