Thanks! My favorite is actually an Israeli brand called Il Makiage. I don't think they export... but they're very bright, vivid, and long-lasting, and if you're a member there are discounts all the time, which is nice.
I think that MAC is decent, but they're kind of pricey. The gold on my eye there is Urban Decay, but its lasting power isn't quite what I'd like on my skin. The orange is from a Korean company called Clio, which I think are pretty good for their price range.

And yeah, the liquid liners are a pain and a half. They may look good, but it'll take half an hour to apply... where the pencils can be done in less than a minute. No competition.
