Eh, that'll pass... I remember how much shit RTD got from the fandom back when he was in charge, then once Moffat took over, RTD was apparently suddenly flawless and never did anything. Won't take long until Chibnall becomes the one who gets shit from the fandom instead

I'm quite interested to see how fandom regards the past of the show in say, five years, for the reasons you give. While there was criticsm of RTD at the time, though, I think that the Moffat is Satan and has never created anything of any worth meme is too entrenched now for those same people to be praising him in the future.

Of course we've currently got no idea what Chibnall's actual writing will be like.
