good ending if not for the horrible epilogues/movie endings

What series do you think would have had good endings if it were not for the epilogue or for a television series that gave you an additional movie ending?

Inspired by the fact that I was satisfied with Mirai Nikki's television ending only to make the mistake of watching the OVA and god it was terrible.

I'm still pretending the epilogue didn't happen...

The Harry Potter epilogue is a classic example of the "don't do it like this" kind of epilogue.

I also thought Firefly:Serenity was terrible.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

The Kataang kiss was so out of place. For it to be the last thing shown, as if it deserved to be this epic moment and the entire show had been about the lead-up to them getting together? That didn't work. I don't mind that they were canon in LoK because it's believable that it could have happened eventually. But not so soon after the final battle in AtLA.

I accept that ending bc I don't think Bryan and Mike knew they would get a second series.

I know they didn't know at the time, but I think they should have left the relationship's future open ended instead of making it canon at the last minute.

This is just for me, but I HATED the ending to The Grey. It was just so anticlimactic.

The 2005 Pride and Prejudice. The alternative ending was toe-curlingly awful.

I was going to post this too.

I like it as an option.

I really like that 2005 P&P doesn't have them kiss during the sunrise scene. I think that would have been a very modern expectation for the scene, and wouldn't have felt authentic to the era at all. But to not have a kiss at all does feeling lacking to me. So I like that we get a very private, comfortable, yet still romantic kiss once they're married.

Also, I like seeing them happy and affectionate with each other after they're married, so that their entire dynamic - that we are privy to - doesn't exist solely in the UST stages.

The last episode of Star Trek: Enterprise. Need I say more?

I disliked the epilogue to the Hunger Games.

The ending of the tv show Revolution wasn't great but they released a 4 issue comic online that went in a completely different direction that was terrible.

I liked most of Deathly Hallows, but the epilogue sucked.

HP just ending at the battle. They beat Voldy and that's it. Nothing ELSE.

Had Naruto and Sasuke just bled to death. Would have been totally happy with that.

After Penny and Leonard had broken up in season 3. No Amy, no nothing after that. Sure, I wouldn't have gotten my Shenny, but it'd be better than what we have now.

House before he got with Cuddy. Just...it's already bad enough I skip most of season 5-7 and just go straight to season 8.
