That's a lot of...effort. Then again, I wouldn't follow their partners because I"d be jealous as fuck.

Come to think of it, I only follow like four legit famous people on IG and the rest are B- C- list or fanpages for those faves who don't have (at least public) social media. They're funner on Twitter.

Haha, I remember back in the day before rss feeds and social media became a huge thing, that is how you'd internet - bookmark all the sites you were interested in and check in regularly. It didn't seem like a lot of effort back then, but it was kind of the only option, so...

I'll give you this: at least you admit it. (I think everyone's done this at one time or another, myself included. Not to DO anything, obvs - just to be nosy.)

(Anonymous) 2017-07-29 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
No, not everyone does this.

You are a stalker, OP. Own it.

(Anonymous) 2017-07-29 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
That's... a little creepy. Or maybe a lot creepy. Unless they're using social media mainly to actively promote their famous partner's work or something.

I mean... it's social media. If it's not locked for privacy, it's there to be looked at by the public.

(Anonymous) 2017-07-29 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
True, it's not creepy to just follow someone's public account. But it does make it easier for people with stalker tendencies to be creeps. You have to know where to draw the line.

Draw the line by not reading something posted publicly, meant to be read by the public? Eh. I guess I'm not really as bothered by this as some are.

At least you admit you're a creepy stalker. You might as well follow those others since you're so obsessed. Not like your 1 little follow is gonna shift the scales or affect them in any way.

What if your fave's SO is already more popular than your fave?

(Anonymous) 2017-07-29 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not on instagram or twitter, so if I want to check on my faves I have to google their social media. If I was on instagram or twitter, I would become a little bit obsessed, I think ;). In regards to their SO, I usually am not too bothered. Out of interest, sometimes, I will google the SO, to see if they're still together, particularly if the fave has made no reference to the SO in a while. (That is, obviously if they're not married and/or have kids with the SO).
