The Israel-Palestine conflict has a few big issues going on with it, that make solving it difficult

1) The current Israeli government. It's pretty nationalist and right-wing, and doesn't necessarily reflect the general opinion of the public. Bringing any kind of deal or compromise to the table with Palestine is difficult right now, because of them.

2) The land issue. Because of the way Israel was created by European powers after WWII, it involved kicking out a lot of Palestinians to make room for the new Israeli citizens. (and its why today Palestine is basically like a refugee camp). Because of this, the area is basically land that in some way rightfully belongs to both people, and it's what's causing the endless fighting. To get a peace deal, we need two governments that are really willing to compromise, and right now it's not who is in power.

3) And the religious issues exacerbates the bad blood of course.

The whole thing is a mess. No one is 'right' per se. But I hope the conflict will eventually be calmed down one one day.

(Not trying to feed wako a bone for his attempt at starting drama, but there's my opinion.)
