#146 - God, quit moaning. The anti-Rose fans are always the loudest about their opinions, but there are more fans than there are haters. But you know, I think I dislike the haters more than the rabid fans.

XD No. They're not. The rabid fans who squee over her very existence and the ZOMG OTP DOCTOR/ROSE are the worst and the loudest. Godforbid anyone should say something bad about Rose to them and they rip your throat out.

I like Rose. She's an acceptable companion, but her return is stupid and undermines Doomsday. As for Doctor/Rose. Just.. no.

EXACTLY. This is my biggest issue with Rose coming back. It's not that I hate her and want her to die or whatever, but what made her character and her time with the Doctor memorable and powerful, for me, was Doomsday. It was her end. Bringing her back? Completely ruins Doomsday.

And it also really sucks because, oh my God, this is supposed to be Donna's season. If you have to bring Rose back at some point, that's fine, I mean they brought Sarah Jane and Jack back, but so soon? The hell.

Then how come no one whined about Martha showing up and semi-taking over for her for three episodes?

I mean, I wish she wasn't coming back too, but still. I agree, it's too soon. But then, I think RTD wants to bring his lovelies back for his final episode, and I can't begrudge him that.

Y'know, the truth is, I've never once seen a gaggle of Rosefen rip someone's throat out for saying something against Rose. But I've seen the anti-Rose crew jump all over Rose-fen with almost no provocation for the simple crime of liking a companion and/or a ship that they don't like.

I will always think haters are the worst, simply because they're being haters. Hate=worse than Love. Which is totally different from simply disliking something--haters seem to go out of their way to point out why x is such a crappy horrible character and everyone who likes x must be a moron, etc. Why can't everyone just like what they like and not get pissy when *GASP* people like different things?

As for Doctor/Rose...it was pretty canon. On an emotional level, anyway, which is all that really matters to me (it's one of my favourite DW pairings --not quite THE fav, though-- but let's not have the smut y/y?).

Oh no, I agree that haters are usually very loud-- Gwen-hate, RunawayBride! Donna-hate--but from my own experience I've seen friendships broken up because the Rose fan went apeshit when someone said that they didn't like Rose [as much as Martha].

I believe that Doctor/Rose was canon--there really is not much room for debate--Its just not my cup of tea. I can handle it, I just don't ship it.

Ah. I don't know anyone that obsessed. I kept thinking that the insane Rosefen were creatures of myth and legend.

I have to admit, I've had friendships (or, well, accquaintanceships) get a little rocky for that reason, but it was usually because the people spent more time talking about how much Rose sucked and how they hated her. I don't know, maybe I run in the wrong circles, but it seems like almost all my friends hate Rose and worship Martha.

(Though I did hate Donna in Runaway Bride. Of course, she's practically my favourite companion now, so...)
