I can see where you're coming from with this, but.
*frowns* Who says homeschoolers are not part of the 'same world as everyone else'? Just because you weren't cooped up in a building with only kids within a year of your age for 12 years doesn't mean you are any less a part of society; you just happened to be educated a different way than the mainstream.
What I mean is: homeschoolers have the chance to choose what they learn, at what pace they learn it, how they learn it. Regular school is programs upon programs. Kids don't get a say, really; advanced classes, remedial classes, but it's still the same material.
