Offshoot of Rule 34: If it exists, there's a Livejournal community for it.
I don't know if your playing field is really narrow, but you should definitely try active searching for people with interests like yours--if you're going to college or in college, for example, look into classes on forensic science or criminology, something where you would meet people with interests similar to yours.
