The scene in Gladiator when Maximus discovers his family. That is some realistic, messy as fuck crying. And I appreciate crying scenes where the characters don't look beautiful and perfect. https://youtu.be/J4XtFeUZ5M8

I don't really favorite those kind of scenes, but if you're looking for some glorious messy snot-crying, get into One Piece. Everyone, especially men, grieve and cry in huge snotty tears everywhere. If that's your thing, anon, that is your series and go to it.

This will make me extremely morbid, but Anya's crying scene on Buffy during 'The Body' episode. Made much more effective by the fact there was no music at all in the ep.

Meoshi opening up to you in Sweet Fuse. The voice work for that scene is outstanding.
