So what if I'm not a fan? I have lots and lots of friends who are and I keep seeing gifs on my dash. I want in on the fun, and now that Moffat will be history, I maybe won't get a burning rash every five seconds watching. PLUS a woman as lead YEYAS. You think that's not good motivation for watching something? Why not? You saying people don't have preferences for who is in the lead?

LIke, some guys don't pick giant, muscle-bound dudes in the lead of movies just because????

Like, some gals don't pick pretty, willowy babes wearing fashiony clothes in the leads of TV shows just because????

So I pick a female Doctor in the lead of my Dr. Who just because, and I'm somehow deluded for thinking I'll like it more? I know what I like, is all, and know-it-all British guys don't do it for me. Sorry. OTOH, a know-it-all British gal...mmm. Gives me shivers.
