tbh i think collectables in general are dumb but funkos destroy a character's personality. like why even bother when the collectable looks shit and barely feels like what you fell in love in the first place.

Sometimes it's the only way to show your financial support for a show. A cartoon can be critically acclaimed but that's not good enough to convince the parent network to release it on DVD/Bluray, and it's hard to lend a digital copy of something to a friend. The Gravity Falls POPs may be hideous and downright terrifying but given the choice between that and a horribly overpriced tiny plush barfing gnome I'll pick the toy that's easier to clean dust off of, in a last-ditch attempt to convince Disney that I LOVE THIS DANG SHOW AND WANT THE WHOLE SERIES ON SOME FORM OF DISC MEDIA, LEGALLY.
