If it's an edition that retains the original illustrations, I'm psyched! I never saw the point of publishing the stories with newer, less scary illustrations.

Yesssssss. I avoided buying new copies because the previous edition had changed all the drawings. :( TBH, the stories by themselves aren't all that. It's the artwork that is incredible nightmare fuel.

Agreed! I think the stories stuck with me, only because of how fucked up those illustrations were to 8/9 y/o me. They're still fucking creepy.
