What was your worst movie experience?

Worst was the time I went to see something at a museum IMAX, can't remember what, but the beginning had all this random, unnecessary camera spinning that made me really dizzy and sick.

Best would probably be seeing the Star Wars OT Special Editions in the theater for the first time. I was already way into Star Wars then, so getting to see them in the theater was awesome. Actually, seeing any of the SW movies in the theater. There is just something about the theater experience that is great for movies like Star Wars.

Worst was probably seeing Snow White and the Huntsman. First off, the AC was not working in the theater. Combined with how awful the movie was, we left halfway through.

The best was probably seeing Captain America: Civil War in the Director's Suite at the Warren. Not only was the movie amazing, but I discovered the best mix drink ever there (they had CA:CW themed drinks).

Worst was probably in school, since they showed us crappy movies and didn't bother darkening the auditorium all the way. But the fact is, I don't remember those times very well, nor do I remember a bad experience in a real theater.

Best? I saw Alamo Drafthouse's Jaws on the Water. That was FUCKING rad.

Worst was an IMAX documentary about dolphins, if only for that horrible "you can hear a pin drop" commercial beforehand. (It gets so quiet you're straining to hear, then MASSIVE METAL BANGING SOUND.)

Best was The Crow on classic movie night.

Worst was going to see the first Sherlock Holmes. Overpriced everything, then an hour of previews after arriving thirty minutes early. Thank goodness the movie didn't blow.

Best was going to see Doctor Strange. Not too crowded, decent food, and mechanically reclining seats (which may not seem like much to big city folk, but for someone who's never had a reclining seat at a theatre before, period, it's pretty badass). Went back to the same place to see Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Oh the worst ones were the bad date experiences. Like the date who helped to set up a showing of Cronenberg's "Crash" and got triggered halfway through. And the date who brought their own date to the movie.

Best? Big-screen showing of Seven Samurai.

Probably The Lobster. I really hated that movie and I'm sorry I went to see it. Also Punch Drunk Love but I walked out after 20 minutes of that and I sat all the way through The Lobster.

Best... I saw one of the Harry Potter movies with my son in this theater that had big soft chairs and couches instead of regular theater seats. It was very expensive but it was worth it.

Seeing Chicken Run and getting a migraine halfway through. I didn't know what it was so I stuck out the movie: big mistake.

Best was seeing either Inception or The Two Towers for the first time in the cinema. Loved both.

worst: alien (25th anniversary), wrecked by an incompetent projectionist so the film got more and more out of focus as it went on

second worst: dredd 3d, i wear glasses and jamming 3d glasses over the top of them fucking sucks

best: either 2012 (my cousin and i realising after five minutes that it was going to be exactly the right kind of awful) or sucker punch (partly tied up with my work leaving do)

I got this thing for my glasses that's basically a clip-on pair of 3D glasses that you can attach to your normal glasses (something like this:http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video-accessories/lg-AG-F420-clip-on-cinema-3d-glasses) - they're available in different shapes to fit the different shapes of glasses and while it's not a completely flawless, perfect solution it's definitely better than wearing two pairs of glasses on top of each other.

I ordered mine over amazon, so that might be an option? You mostly need to be aware of the general shape and size of your normal glasses so you won't get a pair that doesn't really fit.
