What do you mean by "truthy" and "honest"? Do you mean that these fic authors project their own experiences into the canon and therefore it gets a pass because they had a hard time with women?

In any case I suppose that trends in people writing litfic are going to be very different from those of fans of a TV show, yes!

I mean published literary fiction where "honest" misogyny, violence, or abuse can get you a Pulitzer.
