Why you had to pick that picture tho, OP? That specific, unflattering angle mid movement? lol

I agree, he's not...conventionally attractive. I had to get used to his face. And when he took the mask off I felt...disappointed and slightly disgusted/did I want to laugh like wtf? Like I wanted to be attracted but I just wasn't?

He's just kind of odd looking. My mother would say he is ugly. But he ain't that bad. He has the kind of face you could get used to. Grow fond of. Over time. And his eyes are actually quite nice. I'll agree with others in that his face is a bit of a hodge podge of pieces that shouldn't fit together...yet (at least to me) kind of do? Eh. To each his own. I too have actors whose faces I can't stand.

I was the opposite, instantly like "whoaaa!" when he took off the mask.
Part of that's definitely the (super-rare in films) long hair though.

There was an audible gasp in my theatre. I think it was because you unconsciously expect the character to be someone monstrous like Vader and not just...a guy.
