There's a small fandom. I really liked the movie, though I am not a fan of Camilla Belle. Chris and Dakota were great.

Hahaha, me too, anon. Although my guilt is only mild-to-moderate, because I'm not interested in them getting together until Cassie is older. I mean, I'm honestly still a little flexible on whether she's eighteen when they first get together, but anything younger than sixteen is a hard nope for me.

Have you read Love, Love to Ease My Mind by ohladybegood? (fic now orphaned.) It's basically everything I want from a Cassie/Nick fic, and it handles the whole "squicky, ethically dubious age gap" thing really, really well.

That is by far the biggest ship that came out of this (admittedly tiny) fandom. If OP got their wish and this movie got huge today, there'd be major wank between the shippers and the anti-underage crusdaers.

Agreed. This was a good movie with so much potential. If I'm remembering correctly it came out around the same time as Jumper and got tarred with the same brush.
