Stand by Me
Misery
It
The Green Mile
The Stand
The Dead Zone (both movie and TV series)
Cujo
Silver Bullet (one of my favorites, anyway)
Children of the Corn
Pet Sematary
The first season of Under the Dome
I very much dislike it, but a lot of people really like The Shining.
Those are the ones I would count as good and there are another handful that are okay.

Re: Really?
(Anonymous) 2017-08-07 12:30 am (UTC)(link)Similarly, while The Shining might be a good film, I would never call it a good adaptation of a King book. It's just one of those cases where it's like... a thing CAN be brilliant or even just enjoyable on its own merits, but not be good as an adaptation. No adaptation needs to be perfectly faithful to work, but some things just go too far off the mark for me that I can't.
Re: Really?
I'd like to see The Stand get a remake, which is weird, because I didn't really like the book. I enjoyed the first third about the spread of Captain Tripps, but it all went downhill from there.
