Yesssss, I hate this kind of thing.

Who on here agrees with the view that tinhatting is a good thing to do for purposes of representation, though

larries elsewhere are a bit like kitchen ants, drop one little crumb, and you wake up in the morning to a line of them

Outing is brutal, and it should be reserved for brutes.

I don't know who you are thinking about but outing should not be reserved for anyone. it is an extremely stressful situation to be placed in, and in the most extreme cases may lead to suicide. Who is homosexual or bisexual is their business, and anyone who tries to cover that up by acting homophobic tends to be under a lot of stress to hide that part of themself by creating a survival mode which they feel they can cope, and should get some help for it.

I agree with you, but the secret's footnote does give me pause as I have occasionally wondered what I would personally do if I were in a position to out a politician who is, let's say, on verge of pushing through a particularly regressive and damaging piece of legislation.

DA

Seconding this. I wouldn't out even the shittiest people I know in my own personal life, but I would absolutely out a politician who was fighting to push back LGBTQ rights on a big scale. They're attempting to harm millions of people; undermining those attempts by exposing their hypocrisy is an entirely justified and fitting course of action.

Yeah, you'll find no disagreement from me about this kind of thing.

(But then I've never understood the appeal of RPF anyway).

This looks like two cokeheads in pancake makeup.

I absolutely agree, OP.
The Larries, and tinhatters in the Supernatural Community are scary as hell and oddly homophobic (as well as misogynistic- the way they treat the wives and girlfriends of the guys!). It's odd that they're desperate to 'out' the guys and yet get so angry when anyone points out some discrepancies in their arguments about the guys being in oh so much love. The Larries actually affected the relationship between Harry and Louis, which is pretty sad, really.
I find it to be oddly anti-male, also. The instant that these men are in any way affectionate to each other, it is interpreted in a sexual way. Gees, people, just let the guys hug each other! It means they genuinely love and respect each other- which is sweet and awesome- and not necessarily that they're swapping fluids!

"Anti-male"

Lmao what??
