And I don't know what kind of a person Patricia Routledge is IRL, but I have a vague impression that she must be at least marginally pleasant to play a character like Hyacinth to such effect, so I'm kind of happy to see her doing things still.

My mum and aunt met her at a charity event and said she was lovely and always smiling and making everyone feel relaxed and welcome. She was there to give a speech but stayed afterwards and chatted to everyone, which she didn't have to do.
