Like I could see myself writing this secret as a non-fat person saying this makes me uncomfortable because it sounds offensive to fat people, but not being a fat person, maybe I'm being too sensitive about body issues and being That SJW that's offended on their behalf, when everybody means the nicknames endearingly.

"Sensitive" isn't how I'd describe it when I'm uncomfortable around issues that don't affect me.

The result is pretty much exactly the same no matter what OP weighs. I still think it's just plain nosy, no matter how many times you insist the original anon was just asking a relevant question. There's an extremely low chance that someone in a discussion on the internet is going to ask questions about someone else's weight in good faith, and it's completely disingenuous to insist otherwise.

Something can be nosy and relevant at once, is all I was pointing out.

If someone was musing whether they're too sensitive about terms involving insert-race people, "are you insert-race yourself" is not out of the blue, and does in fact give the thought more and different context?

I might accept this if the original anon had asked if OP had body image issues. But that's not what they asked.

There are lots of body image issues that aren't about weight though. Maybe it's just me, idk. When I read the secret it looks like something I might write about being sensitive to others' body image issues because I had some, but they weren't about weight. So like, am I just reading too far into this? Are people offended by it, or am I being too sensitive over here by myself? "Are you actually fat" would be a good question to ask to me there

I'm not denying the original anon was blunt to the point of rudeness, like. I'm just saying depending on the answer the context could be different and people jumping to be like "it can't possibly matter" isn't entirely right
