Washing dishes, I have never used a dishwasher so I'm not sure how, and when I go to people's houses that have dishwashers, their dishes have spots and there are bits of stuff stuck to the times of the forks.

What's funny is I grew up with a dishwasher but then spent a large chunk of my early adult life without one so now I never use it. It also helps that I live alone so I never have too many dishes and it just feels faster to do it myself.

Same. When I was a kid, though, I used to whine all the time when my mom made me wash dishes by hand, because the dishwasher was right there! I'd never seen a more relatable episode of television than the dishwasher one on Fresh Off the Boat.

Yeah, I'm 34 and have never lived anywhere with a dishwsher. And dishes are one of the few housekeeping tasks that don't feel like a huge chore for me.

This. I put my earphones in and it ends up being kind of relaxing. My housemates keep apologizing for not doing them often enough but that's just because I enjoy it and do it as often as possible, lol.
