Are there any musical artists you discovered through Youtube that now you love and even purchase their music?

Karlienne is the first one to come to mind since I found her on Youtube through her fan songs, but I've purchased every one of her albums.

Right now, I'm listening to a lot of metal. A new favorite group is Gloryhammer. I've already ordered one of their albums with some leftover birthday money. Also becoming fond of Van Canto (metal without guitar, who knew it was possible?), Ancient Bards, and Alestorm.

I don't think I've discovered any artists that I've listened to all their music, but I have found A LOT of songs I grew to love because of fanvids.

Like YouTubers a la Justin Bieber or artists with established contracts? I used to watch a lot of AMVs back in the day and that's how I grew to love Evanescence and Linkin Park. Never Shout Never popped up in my recommendations and I really liked his music until he changed directions. It doesn't appeal to me anymore, but I wish him well.

Whatever you want it to be. I've found both types through Youtube, and either way there are some great examples.

Ooh, then most of the artists I now love were found through YouTube! Either a friend who liked the band would send me a video or I would find them on my own after listening to a song of theirs on the radio, though it was always a little frustrating when I couldn't find them right away. There was a song that came on the radio that I really liked and I'd forget to look up the playlist on the station's website or I always missed the name. I couldn't remember the lyrics, but I'd hum it and my friend eventually found the song for me on YouTube.

Not exactly, but I've used YouTube to figure out who did a song I've heard elsewhere. I discovered Calexico because one of their songs was used in a promo on Turner Classic Movies and I went and found the song on YouTube.

I learned about Dexter Britain, Fobee, Crestfallen, and several other artists through cosplay videos on youtube. Some of them you can't buy or even find but hell yes I bought one of Dexter Britain's albums to support him. He does some good work.

Tribe, but they're a band from the early 1970s and I can't find their music anywhere but YouTube. :(
