That is a busy weekend! We will be seeing an89% eclipse where I am. I don't got glasses so I'll might make a pinhole box thing.

What are you making with the chicken?

I don't know what I'll do with the chicken yet. I have some Thai peanut sauce in the fridge so I will probably do chicken and veggies over rice with sauce. I also have half a jar of curry simmer sauce to use up, so I think I'll use that first, still with veggies and rice.

I have eclipse glasses, but the pinhole thing definitely works. A friend of mine got to see a total eclipse in Mexico years ago and he said the little holes in people's straw hats projected crescents down onto their shirts. There was a partial eclipse on Christmas day a while back and I had wanted to try it, but my brother actually set up a small telescope with some kind of a filter so I didn't bother (it was also kind of cloudy, but with a thin layer of cloud and I could quickly glance at the sun and actually see the partial disk without just seeing a blinding light - probably wasn't a good idea, but I only took a few quick looks).
