I think I dislike vampires because they are based on principals that are inherently markers of evil. I have a mild dislike for all undead, and even when they are not undead but some sort of disease or other biological/magical change, the whole blood-drinking thing has absolutely no appeal to me.

But I think on a whole I am not very fond of dehumanising animalistic tropes. I dislike werewolves for reasons that can go back to that, and one of my favourite fantasy novel series, the Black Jewels saga, started pushing the Blood (people with magic) more animalistic in later books which I didn't like either.

I also like A/B/O fic that defy the majority of the animalistic factors in the trope.
