I like this particular movie because you can go through on a rewatch and see how the whole thing was seeded throughout. And sometimes I catch new cues I didn't catch before. Plus the whole thing isn't just about the twist, it's about the characters' journeys coming to terms with this weird new thing in their lives, and the relationship between the kid and his mom. It hits me in the Parent Feels.

This. The Sixth Sense has fantastic rewatch value. Especially if you watch some behind the scenes stuff so you know what to look for next time.

Another movie where this works very well is "The Others".

Yeah, versus Shyamalan's most recent movie Split, where it also had a twist which I won't spoil. I was blown away by the twist in Split but it reaaalllly wasn't seeded well and has little re-watch value.

This. I understand OP's sentiment on the whole feel of the movie hinging on the big twist, but when it's done well it's so fun to go back and catch all the little bits of foreshadowing that you didn't see before.
