B. Except it was a total bait-and-switch with any character development she's gotten thus far? During the Chuunin exams arc, I got so excited with the whole "please everyone, look at my back for once" bit, and then, in the end she has to be saved by Sasuke? To be quite honest, I'm getting tired of this "ohoho look at the cute girl trying to be strong how adorable now be saved by the big hero~" garbage. Every time we think we'll see her shine on her own, she somehow gets overshadowed.
Face it, Kishi is piss-poor when it comes to feminism at all.
C. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, because I just can't see Sasuke as anything but the guy who is ridiculously overpowered for the situation. Then again this is shounen manga, so I dunno.
D. Is it really that wrong to want to see Sakura own the guy who put her through so much pain? I could list off infinite reasons Sakura is a much better character than Sasuke, but in the end, this is Naruto, and power is what makes the characters "kewl and speshul". But maybe I just made it seem like I wanted Sakura just to get stronger. I should have made it clearer that I just wanted her to be better at something than the dark and tragic avenger, and for him to know it. He needs a taste of humble pie and to know that he treated her poorly.
