mainly because Padme is my favorite SW character (Anakin is a distant idk, fourth?), and the Clone Wars show does improve her but the first impression of the prequels just fucked up the majority's opinion of her :(

Padme was so frigging cool at the beginning. She looked great, a queen and diplomat who's actually doing queenly diplomatic things (unlike so many stories where you have a diplomat in name but they never get to actually do anything with it). But she was utterly squandered.
I put Anakin there too because I guess I did want his story to be this tragic fall of a hero, full of pathos... and uh, I mean it is tragic, but not in the way it's supposed to be.

You're reminding me that I still need to watch Clone Wars (now that I have Netflix!)
