158. ...that's not what Gurren Lagann was about at all. I mean yeah, there was an element of Simon growing up but...wow, you brutally missed the point, didn't you?

And FLCL didn't use giant robots as metaphors for developing sexuality. It used guitars and eyebrows and forehead boners. Go back to not failing.

OP : See, this is when semantics start getting argued. The robots came from the forehead boners, did they not? Or maybe this is just some more fail on my part, mm?

Though I have not yet finished GL (6 episodes to go) I still fail to see how the underlying themes are different. It's gotten a lot more interesting since I made the secret to be fair, but I'm still waiting for it to get good.
