105 The strange ability to completely dissociate yourself from a relationship fits far too well with fandom, it seems... (I am Borderline as well, but I have a weird push-pull thing where I'm entirely TOO empathetic and then completely NOT, in turns). I don't know what to tell you other than that its possible to remain friends with people even when they're not sharing your interests, if you're both willing to devote some time to hearing about the other's current loves.
As for letting people know, if you're comfortable with it, let them know? Might help to ease the sense of hurt they feel. It really does feel like this awful inevitability, doesn't it? I feel for you, I really do.

170 Hang in there. Waiting for Deathly Hallows kept ME alive, and I HATED it, but I ended up okay in the long run. Staying alive in and of itself is FAR more important than the reason. Get through what you can and later on you'll just be glad you stuck it out, no matter what made you do it.
