108. I think the show really loses a lot without him. He's perverse, kinky, slightly spoilt, and has this off-and-on relationship with Catholicism and BDSM that has me riveted. I know that people think his fans are really shallow because he's really conventionally attractive, even when his hair gets too long and he doesn't shave, but I think there are a lot more reasons to love him than his pretty face and I hate it like fire when he isn't around. Between his backstory and the way he lets House treat him, Foreman is a giant ball of skanky racial issues, and Cameron is gooey and annoying (he deserves better). The new ducks pwn Cameron and Foreman in every way. But Chase? It's not House if my baby ain't there.
123. It's all guilt. Nobody wants to admit how much we really want the boys to be doing each other because we're afraid if we do, F_W will point at us and say we're all vagina-hating misogynists, whether there's anyone else we feel that way or not. I don't think most of the people who make such a hue and cry of support for her ever cared about anything she did before she dated him or even knew who she was. They're his fans, eager to prove they don't Love Him Too Much by saying they love her as some kind of gesture of female solidarity. Whatever. It's over between them; hopefully people will stop shoving her into our faces now.
125. You can be a fan of something without being a fan of the author. But I wouldn't try it in that fandom. Except I did, and have the scars to prove it.

130. That is very true. I had one put in not!secret. I suppose I should have put "secret because..." but everyone hates that. (Mine was the Profit secret about how much I hate it when people write Jim/Gail non-con. It's secret because I really truly do believe that people should write whatever the fuck they feel like writing and there aren't enough people in the fandom anyway. Which is absolute truth. But man, I hate reading that shit, because he was raped by his stepmother when he was a kid and she's still doing it; I can't believe he'd do it to his favoured apprentice, even if that is a pattern that can repeat itself.)
161. That phenomenon is not unique to any fandom. Neither is the equally sad phenomenon of people caring enough to find it offensive.

I'm 44 and I was married to a gay man who didn't come out till his 30s because it was much more taboo when we were young than it is now. We're still friends but I had a very, very difficult time. I would not date a guy seriously if he was that tight with another guy and I hadn't spent enough time around them to be absolutely sure of the dynamic. They break up and Jensen's family (not his, Jensen's) shows up to be supportive? Maybe they really are just friends--after all, I have a best friend I'm not sleeping with that I spend loads of time with--but my family doesn't show up when she's having trouble, I come by myself. I don't write a lot of RPS, I'm not in the habit of shipping actors. But there is so much love and support between them, I seriously think that unless they're both Kinsey 0s, they would make each other happy and I hope they are.

I just find it strange that Jensen's family came to support him, I can understand them being close and friendly and blah blah blah, but his family?
I really think that Jensen is the one for him, and I really want Jared to be happy.

This isn't like all that Domlijah secret handsignal crap. They behave like they're in love. If they aren't, it's okay. But if they are then I'd like for them to be able to admit it because it would be so difficult to hide.

And I'm talking about people who don't know who they are, and that's just based on body language.
Speaking of body language, I asked my father who is great at reading people just by how they move.
He watched one of Jared and Jensen's videos at a convention and just said "Those two have to be in love by some connection."
And I want them to be able to admit it too, without reprecussions, which alas probably won't happen anytime soon.

But I decided after the 6th book came out that JKR was kind of a bitch and it really pissed a lot of people off. I stand by that statement though. JKR made a bunch of money so I can't really call her stupid, but she created a world and characters that had tonnes of potential only to basically do nothing with it because she couldn't get her tongue out of the Weasleys' asses.
