Lol OP - if you said that the dude was out and kept repeating that a lot then it would be what I seen. I can count one bi and poly dude who is out and only sometimes ignored (Mischa Collins) and at the moment cannot come up with any others.

Ehhh. Sorry OP, but chances are you were bringing it up a lot more often than you realize. Enough that your friends were thinking geez, enough already. Seems like not bringing up this dude's sexuality in conversation (and honestly, how hard is that to do?) would've solved your problem.
