Yes. A friend from a community we'd been part of for 16 years died a couple months ago. She wasn't even 40 yet. I think it's harder when people you only knew online die, because they've not really in your forethoughts every day, so it's easier to forget until something reminds you.

And this is a person I in no way knew, but the guy who was in the No. 1 spot on List Challenges for as long as I've been using it has over the past several month slowly dropped into a double-digit spot and not been answering lists in all this time. He was older judging by his picture, and I suspect he's died. That makes me sad in a strange way.
