I'm glad it inspired you so much. I was resistant to the idea of watching Yuri on Ice for a long time (it just sounded kinda silly) but was when I actually saw it, Yuri's anxiety Really resonated with me.

I'm really happy that you found something that moved you so deeply. I am also proud of you for pushing yourself farther than before. That's a big step and it must have been hard but I hope it was worth it. :)

Hugs from someone who also suffers from anxiety and has self-esteem issues. And props to you for having more confidence in your art. I found Yuri's journey very moving as well and identified so much with him. The part where he started to doubt himself and his vision started swimming was painfully familiar to me. I loved watching him succeed and he's definitely my favorite anime character.

I definitely agree. I really, REALLY wanted Yuri to succeed. Obviously, considering the genre of the anime and tone of the series, he was of course going to succeed to some extent. But his journey felt really personal to me, too. I was freaking out when he was freaking out, and I was so elated when he was able to relax and skate, and focus on Victor or at least not focus on performing well for the crowd.

I related a lot to him for pretty much the same reasons. I'm still reeling from a big professional failure. I hope that I can, like Yuuri, find my groove back. I never thought about focusing on one person whenever I'm out there doing things instead of thinking about everyone, but I might try this now. If it worked for you, it can work for others as well.

I love these kinds of secrets :). That's really cool, OP-best of luck to you with your art, and may that confidence bode well for you in life in general.
