Why should it concern them if they've never felt attraction to a real kid?

This. If they aren't going out and trying to pick up actual teenagers then who really cares?

DA. The things that turn us on don't turn us on for no reason. It's hard to believe that a person who is turned on by ideas of something absolutely repugnant and damaging wouldn't be a bit concerned about why their response is the polar opposite of most people's. Their psyche responds to the idea of an incredibly wrong and awful thing as if it were good. "Why" is a very valid question.

Hi there. I'm turned on by sneezing in fiction. It gets my motor going like nothing else. It's a huge fetish for me. In real life sneezing is disgusting, snot is disgusting. Sneezing is unpleasant and gross and not the slightest bit sexy. So while I will write, RP, and read tons of fictional characters sneezing and masturbate furiously to it, you have nothing to fear from me ambushing you and sprinkling pepper on your face.

Human sexuality is weird. Just because you personally are only turned on by fictional things that you also find attractive IRL doesn't mean it's the norm.

I also enjoy watching crime shows and find them very entertaining, but I know if I saw a real dead body I would probably scream and cry and the thought of a real crime happening to a real person makes me feel sick. This is because I know fiction and reality are two different things.

This doesn't really cut it for me. I believe you that you don't have any desire to force people to sneeze or sneeze on people. But it's not a fetish for you for no reason. Because your fetish is innocuous, the fact that you may not care why it turns you on seems perfectly reasonable. But when you're turned on by imagining something that involves others being harmed in an extremely horrible way, the why of it still matters, even if no real person is actually being hurt.

But WHY does it matter? If it's something that's staying entirely inside their head and doesn't carry over into their real life, who honestly cares what they fantasize about or for what reason? I literally do not understand why you care so much about what's going on in someone else's head as long as they aren't doing anything bad or illegal in reality.

I don't really know why, but I'm cool with it. You really sound like those people who fret and worry that letting gay people marry is going to destroy the sanctity of marriage somehow. Like other people getting married and hurting no one somehow hurts the fictional honor of the concept of marriage.

DA and I think what they're saying makes perfect sense. So you know, that's life.

Uh huh, you're totally a DA. Based on the typing styles I'm guessing there's about two pearl-clutching anons one of which is probably the OP, or one person good at switching back and forth between styles. So you might be the second anon who keeps only contributing short agreeing posts only the long ones, or you're a sockpuppet.

Because things that are taboo turn a lot of people on when presented in a fictional/roleplay context where no one involved is actually being harmed. This is, like, kink 101 shit.

An argument that has never, ever been used against LGBT people. Or even things like, say, cunnilingus. /s
