I can see where this would be really, really tempting (and I have a tendency to twitter-stalk my crush's spouses, too) but it's probably best not to, OP.

Um...unless you start gushing about your crush and etc., a) she'll never know and b) she's probably used to people liking her actor husband.

So long as you *do not* actually try to use her to get to him (and i would interact only along the lines of the things you both have in common that isn't him) - I really don't see the issue. Anything she puts out there publicly is...public, so it's not like you're pumping her for info, and if you do actually manage to become the kind of friend that she would send a private message or email to, well....that'll probably never happen, so why fuss yourself about it?

To me, that sounds like a can of worms to open. Not saying anything bad would actually come of it, but to me, that would be "I'm lying awake at 3 am cringing and why did I do / say / like / think that" material. :/

it's better than what happened to me, a celebrity I had a big crush on (before Hugh) was married and I met his wife who I was super polite to, because one of the dumbest things fangirls can do is be rude to the wife or girlfriend of their crush. Well, she turned out to be a stuck up bitch. In fact, this helped kill my crush on him because he was crazy about her and my gut reaction was "well, if that's the kind of woman he finds attractive, screw this".
