I think saying the anatomy is skewed for the sake of a thigh gap is exaggerating things a bit, the anatomy is skewed because it just is. Cartoons have exaggerated anatomy. Why is the thigh gap the specific thing that is so bothersome? Why not the skinny waist? The head proportions?

I mean I will concede that Belle's is weird because you should be seeing the jacket behind that gap and not yellow, but they don't bother me that much. They aren't the best drawings but they aren't the worst either.

But this still doesn't answer why thigh gaps bother op, like what if the pose was done more realistically, where you would see a gap in some people? Would it still bother OP?

I can't speak for OP, and I'm not really into Disney fanarts in general. But I personally find most representations of thigh gap about as obnoxious as boobs-n-butt pose. Yeah, women CAN do it, but that doesn't make the pose reasonable.
I have no issue with characters having a thigh gap. But too often it seems like it's more of a way to like... highlight the pussy? Specifically in poses where the thigh gap should not actually be nearly that visible. There's something fetishistic about it imo.
