I want more dom/sub where the sub is the one with more experience, or the sub has lots of ideas and takes control of their own sexuality, they just really like to submit.

More female villains who didn't get that way because of abuse/rape/whatever.

Hero/villain things where it is the hero seducing the villain to get something from them rather than the other way around.

Femdom. More femdom in het ships please.

I like your trope inversions, philstar!

Do you have any favorites that follow this line? I know you're generally about LotR, but I'm impartial to whatever fandom your best recs lie, tbh.

While I haven't read any yet, I imagine the Legend of the Seeker (Kahlen/Cara) and Vikings (Lagertha/Aslaug) would have some good femslash. This you don't mind sisters, then Arthur's Morgana and Morgaine should also be great (I really didn't realize they were sisters at first and I totally shipped them. And then I realized they were, lol).

You know how sometimes one person in a relationship pushes the other person away "for their own good/safety" and the two break up? And then way later there's this whole 'the person who was pushed away learns why the other character was an emotionally constipated asshole, forgives them, and they get back together happily ever after'? Have you seen that? I see it a lot.

I want that to happen and when the person who was pushed away finds out it only makes them angrier. They never get back together with the person who hurt them and they move on with their life.

I've come across a few of these and oh my god I hate them with every fiber of my being. I don't care what healthy real-life communication looks like. I want my angsty drama, I want my agonizing codependent pining, and then I want my joyous, sexy reconciliation.

(I fully acknowledge this is a douchey response to your comment but I cannot hold it in. I accept whatever "fuck off" comment you respond with as deserved.)

I want that so much. But I think only in original fiction. I'm ok with it when it's fanfic and I already like the pair (or I wouldn't have clicked)

But Twilight type books? Or Remus/Tonks? I want that shit inverted. "You're pushing me away and you're telling me you're no good for me? Ok, I'll take your word for it!" Especially since it seems like a lot of people do kind of think this is true IRL? Like it seems like a common toxic relationship thing to make people feel special for being the only one strong enough to take everything and still love them and not let themselves be pushed away.

I want more awesome storylines where they realize whoa, they are a lot happier without all the dead weight.

If it was fic it would still tick me off since for the characters I read about it would be OOC and honestly, I find it contrived and dull.

Female heroes becoming heroes because they want to be heroes or because something bad happened to someone else. Fewer where they got that way because a man raped it into them. (Or beat it into them)
