I live on the second floor of a house, with the roof of the lower porch just outside my front bedroom windows. I'm always concerned about it, because I know it is easy enough to climb from the porch to the roof and then into my windows. However, the last few days it sounds like an animal (likely a raccoon from what the neighbors have said) has been climbing all over it. And it is freaking me out, despite having closed my windows (in the summer! Ugh!) so it can't get in.

Do you have any ammonia around? Spraying it around outside or leaving an ammonia rag on the sill will fend off raccoons.
