Fuck Smokers. Alcoholics, as long as you aren't driving and/or hurting anyone else, I don't care. Other drugs, again, as long as you aren't hurting anyone else, don't care. But smoking is fucking gross.

I had to sit next to a guy who clearly was a heavy smoker today for an event because we were both doing the same role and needed to sit together. He reeked. By the end of the event, I had a migraine. When I came out to the car, I smelled like smoke, and now my car smells like smoke. Gross. I'm sorry, but smoking is a nasty habit and when you smell of it, just by being out in public you are forcing your disgusting habit on everyone else.

(I feel the same way about people who wear a lot of perfume)

Former smoker here, and yeah, when you smoke, you have NO. IDEA. that you smell as bad as you do, because smoking really does a number on one's sense of smell (and taste!). It really stinks and stale smoke is the worst. My gallery did business with an artist who was a heavy smoker and whenever we got works from him we'd literally have to air them outside for several days to get rid of the smell of stale smoke (and it didn't always work).

Ugh, THIS!

Related but a little off topic, I was taking a study abroad class in Beijing where the smoking laws were more lax and this girl was in a bar with me and just pulled out a cigarette to start smoking. And she joked that she didn't care about other peoples' lungs, which I thought was so incredibly rude so I just left the bar. But I still stank of smoke :C

Ugh, yes. Clearly they have no idea how badly they reek, but it's EVERYTHING. Clothes, hair, skin, all of it. And then the stink gets into your hair and clothes just sitting near them. :(

my mean ex smoked like a chimney and stunk up the place. I won't even let anyone smoke in my apt now.

No one is allowed to smoke in my entire apartment building. I'm sure people do it anyway, but at least I have a good reason to tell people not to do it if I ever have guests.
