Re: Complaining/Vent Thread

My newish boss is best friends with my roommate, who I have to convince to move out fairly soon, and my new boss doesn't like me, partly because I'm a difficult employee who will do things she doesn't like, like complain when she reaches into her own wallet to balance the register and insists I not do the proper paperwork, but also because when I vent about my job, my roommate will report back to my boss. The only reason they're not working together is they're too good of friends and the higher ups won't let them, and one of their favorite things to do is conspire to fire people... I'm scared.

Also, one of my hens is beginning to grow a lovely long rooster tail. Roosters are illegal here, which is why I paid extra to have them sexed. I guess I could get a rooster collar to muffle his (not yet begun) crowing and maybe get him castrated, if there's any vets around who would do it. If I could find him a home, all his offspring would be Easter Eggers, he's a purebred Ameraucana. But I'm worried he'll just end up at the animal shelter until he's put down, or in a stewpot.

Hens can actually start showing the characteristics of a rooster if their ovary gets blocked or shuts down in some way. So the original sexing of your chickens might still be correct.

And your roommate sounds like a snake. I'm sorry you have to live with her.
