I've seen the fringes of wank about younger girl/older guy ships before now, but like you I've never had anyone get directly nasty at me for shipping them. Probably because I don't really talk or blog about those ships as much since they're not active ships for me these days. That and teenage girl/older guy is just something I'm not as into anymore so I don't pick up new ships like that.

(I still like my old ones that I got into as a teen though).

Ah see I don't feel shame over what I ship, I used to many, many moons ago but these days I'm just like 'eh I know I don't condone it/wouldn't be into it irl' and move on. I might be apologetic to the characters in like a 'I'm sorry I only want you to see you suffer' kind of way though, lol.
