Off topic : could you explain what does "How's them apples" means, please ? I know it's from Will Hunting but I never understood it.

This is from Urban dictionary: it is used in the term, "how do ya' like them apples?" basically meaning, "what do you think about that?" it is a phrase that intends to piss people off.

Their secret was to try and piss people off, so I called them out and tried to do the same.

According to wjipedia, it dates back to WWI, and might have originally been a reference to a "toffee apple" mortar, which is a heck of a lot darker than I thought the origin was.
