I read somewhere that it was a direct skewering of a book about privileged British schoolboys who created a paradise on an island when they were stranded there. The basic point was, No, British schoolboys are horribly entitled and evil to one another and everyone else. So are the girls going to be horribly entitled British schoolgirls?
