I'd rather be dead. After reading "The Road" I am terrified that I'll be locked up and killed to be eaten. No thanks! Don't want to be alive long enough to be eaten by humans.

Yes, I submit The Road as the post-apocalyptic world I would least want to live in. I mean, there are a lot of bad ones, but jesus, it really stands out.

Middle Earth in the Silmarillion is pretty dystopic. I'd live there.

Terry Brook's Shannara seems like it might be a good place to live. That one is post-apocalyptic.

I'm reading a collection of indigenous two-spirit and queer science fiction, which is mostly hopeful because they're already living the post-apocalypse and white people are just heading into ours. So, those futures, or maybe solarpunk.

The one from Dark Angel doesn't seem TOO bad. Not very realistic, but not overly awful. I admit, when the show first aired I fantasized about working as a Jam Pony bike messenger and living in some junked out apartment I'd appropriated after the previous tenant abandoned it.
