Big cats, especially panthers. Also things like octopi because they are just so different from us that it would be fascinating to hear their perspective.

Dolphins or apes, because they're both really smart and could probably tell us what we're doing wrong and how to do it right.

I think you mean "they can talk back," but crows, I guess. I was gonna say dolphins, but even living near the beach I don't think I'd see them often.

AYRT--are grackles corvids? I figure corvids would have more to say than "fuck off this is my bird feeder," "hey baby check out my awesome plumage," and "a hawk, a hawk, get under cover or die!" Also I could trade them shiny beads and chicken eggs for info.
