What's amazing about all this is that there are people who think this guy is worse than GBW and people now say that GBW wasn't that bad for four years. I think both Trump and GBW are nuts, honestly.

What's scary to me is having a terrible president in the future and people looking back at Dubya and Cheetolini and saying they weren't so bad. That asshole sure set the bar down real low.

I don't remember people thinking GWB was the literal antichrist come to usher in the apocalypse.

*snort* Then you have a short memory.

Everyone to the right of Che is Literally Hitler.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yep

No valid reasons whatsoever to criticize Donald Trump

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Not for nothing, but Alex Jones (who has had Trump on his show and has been praised by Trump) said that both Hillary and Obama were literally demons

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty sure it's your memory.

Cheney was the demon, Bush was just the covering for Dick.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-03 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
No, the called Cheney Darth Vader; and Pope Benedict Palpatine.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I remember people thinking he was a dumbass. Don't remember if people thought he was the antichrist though.

Ohh you need to watch reruns of Penn & Teller Bullshit in which this one Nostradamus follower kept saying Bush and Hussein were the antichrists or watch old news videos and TV shows from 2000-2008 and see a lot of anti-Bush material (Family Guy comes to mind). It goes to show how paranoid people were in a post-9/11 world and wondering if the world would end because of Bush and the GOP, hence why nobody voted for McCain back in 2008 and Romney in 2012 and luckily (depending on your political viewpoints on the man) Obama won. Twice.

It's because of this why people were certain Hillary would've won last year, but because of people not voting for her due to others believing the lies and the leaked e-mails, we're in this mess.

I think, when you're talking about things like this, you have to discount the sort of 5% fringe who think every politician actually is the literal anti-Christ. I mean, there are people out there willing to call any politician in history a reptilian. That sort of thing doesn't really vary and isn't that meaningful.

People disliking Bush and being against Bush, or indeed people being against Trump, is not the same as saying that either of them is the anti-christ. There's distinctions here and they're important. You can't just write off everything that way.

not ayrt

exactly this

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
No, that was Cheney.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-02 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
It's complicated, because Trump hasn't done anything as obviously and consequentially disastrous as the Iraq War. But if you're talking about their every-day quality at being president, and what they represent and stand for in terms of political values and norms, Trump is much worse in that regard.

and they're back at afghanistan....
