Use of it as a discussion of the actual topic for RL things like "Why is it legal for two 17 year olds to have sex, but if they film it they could be charged with criminal activity?" But use of it for fictional things, even if the fictional things are actually depictions of extreme underage writing or art, upsets me and can cause panic attacks.

But I'm not sure how much of that is almost exclusively that fans likely to use the P word tend to chuck it around and use it as a gotcha. Like recent wank I've seen about how people believe Ao3 was created just to to be a haven for P works after LJ stopped allowing P on their site.
