There's a lot fewer people saying straight people shouldn't be allowed to have relationships than there are homophobes.

So while it's possible some slashers are heterophobes it's a lot more likely that they don't hate reading about het they just prefer reading about slash. Or maybe they do and I'm just cool with people who hate canon het, but I don't like changing a canon or popular slash pairing to het any more than I like underage non-con.

I'm not arguing that it shouldn't exist, just that I don't like it for those reasons.
